Medicinal herbs raw materials

Medicinal plant raw materials are materials prepared from medicinal herbs in accordance with the Pharmacopoeia or other regulations (dried, ground, crushed, etc.), preserving the active substances in the plant material. These raw materials are then used to industrially produce extracts, tinctures, decoctions, etc., which are used in the manufacture of herbal medicines and dietary supplements.

How do we work with medicinal plant raw materials?

Jelgavfarm has several partners around the world who produce medicinal herb raw materials. These partners have been tested and selected over the years and are distinguished by their high, consistent, and sustainable product quality. The quality of medicinal plants—especially the concentration of active substances in the product—is crucial in the subsequent production processes of pharmaceuticals and dietary supplements.

We offer our customers virtually any medicinal herb raw material, including herbs that are not typical of our region. The price is calculated according to the customer’s requirements, i.e., based on the type of medicinal plant raw material and the required quantity. At the customer’s request, we also perform qualitative product analysis, as well as testing for impurities, pesticides, and other parameters, in accordance with Pharmacopoeia standards.
